Nenad has more than 20 years of venture capital and private equity investment experience in the media, telecom and technology sectors.
Nenad is the Founder, CEO and Managing Partner of DN Capital.
Nenad founded DN Capital in June 2000 after leaving Advent International, one of the world's leading global private equity houses, where he was a Partner in the London office. At Advent International, he spent five years investing in European media, IT services, Internet and telecom companies. His investments include Synergon (IPO: LSE/BSE), Hogart, Internet Securities (now Euromoney) and @Entertainment (IPO Nasdaq: acquired by UPC). Prior to Advent, Nenad was a Financial Analyst in the leveraged buyout group of Bankers Trust in New York focusing on media and communications.
Nenad received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration cum laude from San Diego State University with Distinction in Finance.
Steve co-founded DN Capital in June 2000 and is currently Managing Partner based in the Sand Hill Road office, running DN Capital’s US operations. Steve Schlenker began his career in venture capital and private equity in 1990. His investment experience has been in software and software related businesses. His sectors of focus include enterprise software, and to a lesser extent business on-line marketplaces and consumer mobile services. Amongst his select investments are Apsalar, Auto1, ClusterHQ, Datanomic (acquired by Oracle), Endeca (acquired by Oracle), Familybuilder (acquired by Intelius), Geckoboard, Lagan/Kana (acquired by Verint), Ombud, Peak, Shiphawk, RecargaPay, Remitly, Parallel Wireless and RobinSystems.
Steve was previously at SUN Capital Partners, based in their London office, where he served as chief investment officer for technology investments. At SUN Capital Partners, he spent five years investing in US and European technology companies as well as assisting raise and manage a growth equity emerging markets fund and making private investments in growth companies. His investments there include eMode (acquired by Monster.com), Endeca (acquired by Oracle), SUN Brewing (listed on Luxembourg, then acquired by Interbrew). Prior to SUN Capital Partners, Steve was one of the first analysts for the buyout firm Interlaken Capital in Greenwich, CT, where he was involved with sourcing companies and applying technology to augment profitability and investment returns in legacy industries such as food processing, industrial distribution and facilities management.
Thomas joined DN Capital in 2012 as an Analyst. His sector of focus include marketplaces, ecommerce and software. Prior to joining DN Capital, Thomas worked in the Investment Banking division of Barclays Capital where he advised CAC 40 and CAC Next 20 companies on M&A transactions and bond issuances. Thomas graduated from University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
John is a Venture Partner and running operations alongside Nenad Marovac for DN Capital in Germany. He is also on the board of DotLoop, a venture backed real estate technology company in the United States. John is also an active angel investor, co-investing alongside venture firms in companies where he can add value. John has also joined as the chairman of Videdresssing (a DN Capital portfolio company).
Previously, John was the founder and CEO of two venture backed startups in the online real estate space in the U.S.. He sold his most recent company, MyNewPlace to RealPage (NYSE:RP) for $78.5 million in the summer of 2011. Under John’s leadership, MyNewPlace grew by taking share away from five well entrenched competitors to become the second highest traffic apartment rental website in the U.S.. John was also the founding CEO of AllApartments/SpringStreet, which became the number one apartment rental and relocation site on the Internet before its sale to Homestore in 1999 for $150 million, in a private to private transaction immediately prior to the combined entities IPO.
Prior to SpringStreet, John was the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Business Development for Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Company where he headed up all finance, technology, and business development activities. John was also a consultant for McKinsey & Company for six years and a sales specialist for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services. John graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
John recently moved his family to Munich, and is looking forward to getting more involved with the European entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Guy joined DN Capital in 2015 as an Associate, having gained entrepreneurial experience in a Rocket Internet venture. He began his career in strategy consulting spending 4 years at OC&C advising PE Funds and large European TMT, retail and FMCG clients. Guy graduated from Cambridge with a first in Social and Political Sciences and subsequently spent a year studying Economics and Management at the Judge Business School. His sectors of focus include marketplaces, ecommerce and software.
Massimo has been involved with DN Capital since 2001 as Chairman of the investment Committee, advising the team over capital allocation and organisation. Massimo Prelz Oltramonti career in venture capital started in 1981 with Olivetti where he was involved in the tech investment program, out of Italy and then New York. After a period in operations he joined Alta Berkeley Associates in 1988 before moving to private equity as partner and then Managing Director of Advent International. Since 2004 he is affiliated with GMT Communication Partners.
Massimo has served as Chairman of Jazztel plc through his restructuring and as Vice-Chairman of Primacom AG. He has also been a member of the board of SBS S.A.(Nasdaq), Esat telecom plc (Nasdaq), Esaote SpA (Milan Stock Exchange) and CityFibre Infrastructure Holding plc (AIM).
He is now on the Board of Melita plc, Gigaclear plc and Electro Power System S.A.
